Where Does Our Baobab Come From?

Where Does Our Baobab Come From?

By choosing our Organic Baobab, you’re not only nourishing your body with a powerful superfood, but you’re also supporting our small Australian business and positively impacting the lives of numerous rural families in West Africa.

We've managed to establish direct partnerships with some exceptional organic farmers who prioritise the long-term well-being of baobab trees and their surrounding ecosystems, which still remains one of our top priorities as a retailer. Additionally, we also ensure that our farmers, many of whom are mothers, receive fair compensation for their hard work. We learned that this means that our farmers don’t then have to travel for hours from their homes each day in search of more work, and provides an opportunity for more families to afford an education for their children. This is sadly not standard industry practice, as most other superfoods are sourced via a reseller that secures most of the profits for themselves, and cannot guarantee the sustainability or ethics surrounding the produce and where it originated.

When the founder Eli first started looking for suitable organic baobab farms, she spent over two years trying and testing fruit from countless regions across West Africa and Madagascar until she settled on the farms we work with today. We love the light tangy taste of the fruit pulp, the silky consistency of our baobab oil, and are so proud of the superior vitamin C content! Our baobab fruit powder boasts more vitamin C than any other baobab product currently available on the market today.

Our commitment to sourcing the best Organic Baobab goes beyond providing a nourishing superfood. Each of our products makes a positive impact on the lives of countless farmers, promotes sustainability, and we wouldn't have it any other way.
